Sandhill Crane festival is an annual event at Othello, WA. Sandhill cranes stop for a few weeks on their way back to their artic home after nesting for winter in central california. The cranes are usually all aound the fields by the Lower Crab Creek road and around the Scooteney reservoir. In addition to the sandhill cranes, flocks of snow geese, a few bald eagles and pelicans and other wading birds, pheasants, and other prairie birds are found all over.
